Products Introduction 

Nitinol is a family of shape memory alloys, which are not completely described using typical engineering properties. In concert with ASTM Standards, it is important that the NiTi specification contain sufficient information to adequately meet the needs of the product for which it is being produced without over specifying properties that are not appropriate.                                                                                                Shape memory alloys (SMAs) are alloys with "memory": They can return to their original shape after being deformed via a change in pressure or temperature. SMAs are used in a wide variety of applications - including metallurgy, manufacturing, biomedicine, and children's arts and crafts - and their uses are always expanding...A shape memory alloy is a material that undergoes a phase transformation when it experiences a mechanical stress or temperature change. When the conditions return to normal, the SMA "remembers" its original shape and reverts to it.

Product Feature and Application 

Nitinol Shape Memory Alloys undergo a phase transformation in their crystal structure when cooled from the stronger, high temperature from (Austenite) to the weaker, low temperature from (Martensite). This inherent phase transformation is the basis for the unique properties of these alloys - in particular, Shape Memory and Superelasticity.The nitinol material is widely used for meidcal application and industry application .

Prodect Qualification


Seabird has two production line: Nitinol Shape Memory Alloy and Refractory metal.
1)Nitinol main product is nitinol shape memory alloy and super-elastic bar&wire, sheet&strip, tube&pipe ,spring,paper clip , customized products ,etc.

2)Refractory metal main products is tungsten tube&pipe, bar&rod,sheet&foil and molybdenum tube&pipe, bar&rod, sheet&foil ,etc.                                                                        

Seabird has the complete equipment for the guaranteed quality.

1. Select raw materials
2. Pressure electrode: press the electrode to reduce the volume of titanium sponge;

3. Melting: According to the customer's requirements, make the composition ratio. After the vacuum medium frequency induction furnace melting, the titanium and nickel is fully stirred by the electromagnetic induction. This makes the composition homogeneous without segregation. Then cast the ingot.                                                                

 4. Cut the top of ingot, remove the pores and shrinkage holes in the ingot, and test the chemical composition of ingot.If it is qualified,go to the next process.If not,return back to the first process, reproduce it.
